Tribe Together is a platform designed to connect like-minded families who share a passion for travel. Our mission is to make traveling with kids easier by providing opportunity to find a tribe, destination and duration matching your family's wishes.
Joining our community is simple! Just sign up on our website, create a profile for yourself. There is no subscription fee involved and the Tribe Togethr platform is a free service for you to use.
After login, create your My Family profile and start connecting with other traveling families. You can create your own travel plans, apply to other's, ask questions and participate in discussions.
We encourage each individual above 18 years, to have their own personal login and connect to an existing My Family created by one family member.
We encourage each individual in a household to be mentioned on the Family profile. That could, just as an example, include 2 adults/parents and multiple children.
Having a grandmother living with you and always coming along on your travels? Include her in your Travel family.
Sometimes travelling with your sister, her partner and their kids? Don't include them. They should have their own Family profile.
To connect your individual login-profile to an existing Family profile, you need to be invited to the Family. This must be done by the individual, creating the Family. This individual must click 'Manage Users' and send invite to your e-mail address.
In your Family Bio you should include your family's general interest. What is your preferred travel form, do you work on the go, how long do you normally travel, what is the family's interests, are you more up for beach vacation, thrill-seeking adventures, foodie tours or a mix of it all?
On each individual family member, we encourage you to setup age, individual interest and languages, to make matching with likeminded families even easier.
No, the Tribe Together platform is completely free of charge to use.
Tribe together is a passion project from a family wishing to find more like-minded families to travel with, we have plans on our roadmap for features and additions which will eventually cover the costs of running the platform.
The platform is not funded by, and will never be funded by selling your data, but rather we believe in deep partnerships which can benefit both our community and the partners (for example discounted access to campsites, activities, events, etc for our community, but increased sales for the partners).
You can create as many travels as you like. We encourage you to only create travel plans, that you actually want to complete. And also, to participate in other's travel plans, only if you are genuinely invested in it.
We understand the decision of not completing your own travel plan if no other family participate. And also sometimes life just happens and unforeseen circumstances make plans change last minute – but in general we encourage the community to be sincere, thoughtful and genuine with each other, by not wasting each other's time.
When not logged into the community, no personal details such as names, ages, interest are showing. Neither is the travel plans and details, such as itinerary, number of participants or questions, on any travel plans shown.
This information is only available for users logged into Tribe Together, for privacy reasons.
When you create a suggestion for an itinerary on a travel plan, you participate in, the creator of the travel plan needs to approve this. As soon as it's approved, you will get a notification and it will be visible in the itinerary.
This is the same rule, for a public (visible to everyone) or private (visible only to participants) suggestion.
